Welcome Cannabis takes pride in their staff of Budtenders, we have a strong and diverse team who all carry a passion for cannabis and the industry as a whole. This industry relies heavily on the Budtenders who are front and center of all dispensaries. Their knowledge, experiences and demeanor can make or break a dispensary. Budtenders have gone through an incredible amount, from the constant changing of rules and legislation that comes with a new industry but also being deemed essential workers during a global pandemic.
We thought it would be a great idea to showcase our Budtenders so you, our customers, can also get to know our team and see their uniqueness and charm for yourselves.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I love creating genuine connections with people, even in passing. Allowing people to be their genuine selves around me is something that I find so important. I always want to be growing and learning and find that the best way I am able to understand myself is to strive to understand and connect with others through shared and different experiences.
What do you enjoy doing in your off time? Any extracurricular activities?
In my spare time I love hanging out with my fam (2 teenage mini humans) and my animal crew (2 dogs 1 cat). I enjoy reading (fiction, Sci fi, self help, and graphic novels), and nerding out on hikes trying to identify flora and fauna mostly.
What are your pet’s names?
Oxford - mastiff
Georgie - beagle
Winston - tabby
Favourite music?
I love An Awesome Wave (the whole album) by Alt J
and the entire Graceland album by Paul Simon,
Those are definitely my most listened to.
Favourite book?
My fave book is the Dark Tower series by Stephen King
What do you enjoy doing after you have partaken in cannabis?
The best feeling in the world is allowing myself to rest, relax, and recharge after a chaotic day/week. I find cannabis helps me slow down and be present in whatever task I’m doing even if it’s nothing at all.
What strain is your go to and why?
I’m very partial to a good mango haze. It’s energizing and happy with just the right amount of chill.
What terpene is your favourite and why?
Myrcene is my fave terpene because it supports me feeling happy and calm.
What got you into the cannabis industry?
I love business and biology so the cannabis industry has always called to me but it was my best friend who recognized that I would be a good fit and invited me to embark on a journey to find my passion in the cannabis industry.
What is your favourite Budtender memory?
Creating genuine connections and building a trust with someone is my absolute favourite. When I can recommend something that then becomes a part of someone’s wellness routine I am over the moon! Any time a customer comes back to me and says “this is my new favourite!” Or “This has really helped me” makes me feel amazing.
What impact of the legalization of cannabis do you look forward to seeing most as the industry grows and evolves?
Legalization has begun a barrier and stigma deconstruction that is so pivotal for everyone of legal age to have access to and experience the amazing benefits of cannabis. I’m excited to watch those barriers continue to fall.
What strain would you recommend the person reading this to try for themselves?
To anyone who is reading this that hasn’t tried a CBN forward product…TRY IT! You won’t regret it! The effect it has on my overall well being is a total game changer!!
