Bud.jpg

Flower.

Flower, also known as bud, is the trichome covered part of the female cannabis plant where terpenes and cannabinoids are highly concentrated. It is cultivated, harvested, trimmed, dried, and cured, before becoming smokable, and can be consumed in a variety of ways: smoked in a joint, pipe, bong, or vapourized in a vapourizer.

Flower can be purchased as loose flower in sizes of 1g, 3.5g (eighth), 7g (quarter), 14g (half), and 28g (ounce) formats, and pre-rolls.

Effects are felt from seconds to minutes of inhaling, peaking within thirty minutes, and may last up to six hours after use.

Oils

Oils: Cannabis oil is made by extracting cannabinoids such as THC and CBD into a carrier oil, such as MCT oil or hemp oil. Extraction may involve a solvent such as ethanol, butane, or CO2. Oils can be administered with a syringe, providing a convenient method with full control of dosing.

Effects may be felt within thirty minutes to two hours, and may take up to four hours to feel peak effects. Effects can last up to twelve hours and residual effects may last up to 24 hours.

Topicals.

Topicals are cannabis-infused products including lotions, balms, salves, massage oils, lubricants, sex oils, and bath bombs.

Transdermal administration provides localized effect. By being absorbed through the skin, cannabis avoids breakdown by the liver and preserves more of the active constituent reaches the targeted area. There is no psychoactive effect associated with the use of topicals.

Vapes.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Effects are similar to smoking, and will be felt within seconds to a few minutes of inhaling, peak within thirty minutes, and can last up to six hours.

Edibles.

Just like the same suggests, edibles are meant to be eaten. Most edibles are made with distilled oil, and can take up to two hours until onset similarly to oils and capsules. Some edibles are made with water-soluble distillate which takes effect after thirty minutes.

Sublinguals.

Sublingual cannabis products are placed under the tongue and absorbed primarily through the mucus membrane of the mouth and into the blood stream, which offers an increased absorption rate and onset of action when compared to oral ingestion, by bypassing the gastrointestinal tract.

Concentrates.

Concentrates are made by removing excess plant material and impurities, and isolating the most desirable plant compounds: cannabinoids and terpenes. Concentrates have a much higher concentration of terpenes and cannabinoids than flower.

Concentrates can be consumed in a wide variety of ways, from mixing with flower to using a dab rig.

Budder. Butter. Batter. Badder.

Made similarly to shatter, resin is purged at a low temperature to remove fats and unwanted materials, but is whipped to create a light, creamy, smooth, butter-like consistency. This makes for an easy-to-consume product.

Diamonds.

Crystals of THC-A. Must be kept cool.

Hash.

Hash or hashish is made by separating the resinous glands of cannabis plants where cannabinoids and terpenes are most highly concentrated. Hash can then be compressed or rubbed together to form a brick, slab, or rolled pieces. It is most often consumed by smoking, but can also be eaten.

The word “hashish” originates from the Arabic language, roughly translating to “grass”.

Bubble.

Bubble hash is made by separating resinous glands from plant matter by agitating in ice-filled water, causing the resinous trichomes to freeze and break off the plant matter, that is then separated using a sieve.

Bubble hash gets its name from the way it bubbles when exposed to flame.

Dry Sift.

Sieved hash, also known as kief, originated in the Middle East and Central Asia, and is resin powder collected from harvested and cured cannabis. Fine mesh or silk fabrics are used to physically separate the trichomes from plant material.

Pressed Hash.

Kief can then be pressed into hash.

Traditional methods wrapped kief in pastic and then in layers of wet newspaper, and alternating heating the brick slowly on a hot plate and rolling it with a rolling pin to form a dark and shiny surface formed by the trichomes that have melted together.

Oil.

Also known as distillate, is an extract that is thick and oily. This is most commonly found in vape cartridges.

Live Resin.

A form of cannabis concentrate, produced from fresh cannabis flowers that are flash-frozen after harvest. Extracts are made using this frozen material, and results in a slightly granular, syrup-y, somewhat translucent, golden amber product. Freezing preserves the terpenes and cannabinoids that would otherwise be lost during the drying and curing process and captures the full essence and aroma of living cannabis.

Rosin.

A concentrate that is thick, tinted, and transparent. Similar to sap. An all natural product, made without volatile solvents.

Sauce.

A hybrid of runny oil and chunky, potent TCH crystals (diamonds). Must be kept cool.

Shatter.

Named for its glass-like appearance. Resin is purged at low temperatures to remove excess fats and unwanted materials, resulting in a translucent, amber coloured, product, that is firm to the touch. Terpy, smooth, and shelf stable.

Wax.

Also known as crumble, is made by heating resin and agitating it during the cooling phase. Instead of cooling into a clear sheet of shatter, fats are disorganized and disrupted, resulting in an opaque, dryer, and granular product that is golden in colour. Wax may feature a higher terpene content than shatter and is versatile.
